What should we wear for engagement pictures on a golf course?

My fiance loves golf so my photographer & I thought it would be a great idea to take our pics outside on the golf course where we are having our reception. The only problem is that I don’t know what to wear!! My fiance does not own a pair of jeans (which I notice most people wearing in their eng. pics), and he lives in khaki shorts. While I know shorts wouldn’t be appropriate, would khaki pants and a Polo be okay? What should I wear????
Since it’s SOOO hot in the south this time of year, if he wears khaki pants would it look okay for me to wear a khaki skirt & a polo? or should I wear pants also?
